Yufan and Sunny - Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding Film

Andrew Nease September 30, 2021

As a wedding videographer, you just can’t ask for more than this wedding offered. Yufan and Sunny’s wedding was a magical blending of an awesome couple, in an awesome place, with an awesome vendor team!

It’s been a few years since we’ve gotten to shoot at Denver Botanic Gardens, and every time we’re there, it simply takes my breath away. This wedding was extra amazing, because the reception was held on the balcony in Marnie’s Pavilion, the gardens’ orchid conservatory. The tropical plants, water features and iconic Midcentury Modern architecture make it one of the coolest reception locations we’ve ever gotten to shoot in! The crew from Isabelle Kline Design did an awesome job with all of the décor, and did an amazing job of rolling with the punches when the skies opened up and it started pouring rain!

Yufan and Sunny, it was such a joy capturing your wedding, and getting to spend such a wonderful chunk of time wandering around the gardens in the drizzling rain to capture couples footage! Thanks for letting us be a part of your day!

Lauren + Caleb - Boulder Flower Farm Wedding - Featured on The Knot

Andrew Nease October 27, 2020

Surprises! We’ve been to a lot of weddings that had surprises planned into the day — sometimes couples like to surprise their guests with something fun, exciting or sweet. Other times the bride or groom will have a surprise for their loved one, such as a musical performance, a sentimental gift (a dining set purchased in secret from the coffee shop where they had their first date), or a surprise guest appearance (Santa Claus anyone!?) However, we’ve never been to a wedding where the ENTIRE DAY was a complete surprise to both the bride and the groom, until we met Lauren & Caleb.

2020’s wedding season has been challenging, both for vendors and for couples. It’s been interesting to see how different people have adapted to the circumstances. Like so many couples this year, Lauren and Caleb had to make the difficult decision to discard their wedding plans and start from scratch. Faced with having to re-plan from the ground up, they instead relinquished full control of their wedding into the incredibly skilled hands of Brynn and the team at First Look Events, who put together one of the most unique and spectacular weddings we’ve ever had the opportunity to be a part of at Boulder Flower Farm. Every detail of the day was meticulously planned, from the massive floral ceremony backdrop created by Little Shop of Floral, to the intricate table setting and seven-course plated dinner by Footers Catering complete with adorable, decorative little notes that hinted at what the next course would be. What made it even more special was that the entire magical day — from start to finish — was a complete surprise to the couple. They had no idea what the schedule was, what the decorations would look like — nothing! It was so fresh and exciting to go along beside them and capture their joy and excitement as the day was slowly revealed to them moment by moment.

In addition to video coverage of the day, we also live streamed Lauren & Caleb’s wedding ceremony. Due to the circumstances, only about a dozen or so guests were in attendance in person at their wedding, but we were able to bring the ceremony live to over 80 viewers watching from 40 different places, including the groom’s brother who tuned in at 3:00 am in Saudi Arabia. We also worked with their families in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and edited a surprise video montage of pre-recorded toasts and well wishes from their family and friends who were unable to attend in person. In a year that’s been hard in so many ways, this was really a silver lining for us to be able to help provide services that share love, and bring people closer together when they can’t be together in person.

Lauren and Caleb, you were such a joy to work with. We really are so unimaginably grateful to have been a part of your wedding day and we wish you all the best in years to come!

In addition to the vendors we called out above, we’d also like to thank Lizzie and Marco Wedding Photographers, Colorado Party Rentals, Elite DJ, Faces by Liz, Handsome Love Calligraphy, and Beauty on Location Studio. Thanks for being such a great team of vendors to work with. You all helped to make this day a beautiful and magical as it was!

Lauren & Caleb’s day was featured on The Knot Real Weddings! See more photos of their day here!

COVID-19 Wedding Live Streaming Discounts

Andrew Nease March 23, 2020

I shoot weddings because I love weddings. I love all of the energy, joy and enthusiasm. I love the love. The outbreak of Covid-19 has and continues to impact us all in many ways. These circumstances have forced many couples to postpone or otherwise drastically change the vision they had for their wedding. We know how much time, energy, meaning and passion get poured into the planning of a wedding, and it honestly breaks our hearts to see it all come so abruptly apart for so many people. We’ve spent much of the last week and half just trying to take it all in and figure out how to deal with it all — for us, for our industry, for other couples out there struggling with the exact same thing. We’ve racked our brains trying to figure out what we could do to help couples who are trying to navigate through this difficult time.

Outside of our wedding videography, I specialize in video live streaming, and we want to make this service available as an option to couples and planners as they adapt to this difficult situation. We feel that this could be a great solution for many couples and their loved ones in a time when they are unable to celebrate together in person. To this end, we’ve put together some discounted options for couples that include live streaming.

Small Wedding Live Streaming Package

For couples who are opting to downsize their wedding or elope in the next 4-5 months, we have created a limited time, simplified version of our normal wedding package . It includes a short highlight film in addition to ceremony live streaming so that the loved ones who can't be in attendance physically can still be a part of the day. This package is intended to be for weddings of 20 people or less and includes:

  • Up to 5 hours of coverage

  • 4-5 minute highlight video

  • Live streaming of the ceremony

  • Drone footage (if allowed by venue)

  • Price $2000

Streaming Add-on to Full Wedding Package

For couples who are still after a more complete wedding video package, we offer ceremony live streaming as an add-on to our standard package. We're discounting live streaming to $750, half off of our normal price, for any 2020 wedding. This includes a site visit prior to the wedding to make sure there is sufficient data bandwidth for streaming.

If you would like more information about streaming or our wedding packages, please feel free to reach out by email, phone, text, or through our contact page.

Krista + Zach - Keystone, CO Wedding Film

Andrew Nease November 26, 2019

September 6, 2019 | Keystone, Colorado

Krista and Zach are two of the kindest, most laid back and sincere people we've ever met. Being around them is so refreshing. They have an amazing sense of calm and balance, taking everything in stride. Even when rainy weather threatened to derail the schedule of the day, these two embraced it. Every moment of their wedding day had so much intentionality, and so much presence of mind. It's very easy at weddings to get swept up in the emotions, all the events, the nerves, etc, and before you know it, the day is over. This day felt like time slowed, like it could breath. It felt balanced too -- with beautiful and personal details & decorations and in a breath-takingly beautiful landscape, but not so much that it distracted from the real significance of the day. The day was not only about Zach and Krista, but also about the joining of a family. Zach's sweet daughter Zoe read a beautiful statement during the ceremony that brings tears to our eyes every. single. time.

The ensuing evening was truly a blast and the perfect cap to the day-- the band Woodshed Red lit up the house with their energetic string group, and in the light of a blazing fireplace and under the warm glow of large woven wicker lanterns, this lovely community danced their hearts out.

Their wedding was one of the highlights of our year, and a truly inspirational story. We are so honored to have been a part of this day, and to help preserve its memory. Congrats Krista & Zach! We wish you guys all the best in your lives together!

Hannah & Reid - Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding

Andrew Nease July 17, 2019

Hannah and Reid’s wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch was nothing short of magical. We met them for the first time the morning of their wedding, and as the day went on, we caught snippets here and there that shed light on who they are as people, and how their relationship came to be. Their romance is so classic it could be made into a movie — Hannah, a smart, beautiful woman who was studying to become a doctor, falls in love with Reid, a handsome, football jock. They meet one fateful day when Hannah was working as a waitress, and Reid came in for a bite of food, and their relationship went from there. But more than this sweet beginning, their story is inspirational in how real it feels — full of trials, challenges, successes and dreams. These two positively glowed with joy the entire day, and it really highlighted how weddings aren’t just a day in the life — they are a culmination of everything that couples have already been through, and the beginning of a new and exciting chapter.

Hannah and Reid, thank you for inviting us to be a part of your special day! We had so much fun spending the day with you and helping to capture all of these beautiful moments. We wish you the best in your lives ahead!

Danielle & Dom - Manor House Wedding

Andrew Nease June 30, 2019

Danielle and Dom’s wedding at The Manor House, in Littleton, Colorado was a perfect way to open our summer 2019 season! This day was full of sunshine, laughter and beauty. As a venue, The Manor House is one of the best in Colorado, in our opinions. It somehow manages to capture snippets of everything someone might want from a wedding: a stately, elegant mansion, sprawling natural landscape, and even a unique view of Denver’s downtown skyline. Situated alone on top of a grassy hill, the mansion provides stunning views of Colorado’s iconic Front Range landscape, just a stone’s throw from world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheater. We had a blast shooting all of these themes and vignettes throughout the day with Danielle and Dom, who could not have been more laid back and fun to work with. Their chemistry felt so natural, and they lit up being around each other. Danielle and Dom, thank you for inviting us to share this big day with you and your adorable son.

We also couldn’t write this post without giving a shout out to the incredible photographer, Nate Shepard, who worked alongside us capturing the day in still images. If you look up the word “enthusiasm” in a dictionary, you will probably see his name there. We had a blast working with Nate, and although this was our first time working with him, we have long admired his work. His photographs are some of the best we’ve ever seen, and it was truly an honor to get to work with him.
